Certified Sacred Passage Doula

Sacred Passage Doula

About

Maggie Purnell

" I believe it is possible to have a peaceful, beautiful life and death with healing and coaching for my patients,

their families and their caregivers with my expert guidance."

I have 45 years of combined RN experience with 13 years being a Hospice RN Specialist .

I am a Certified Sacred Passage Doula for Dying and also a Certified Conscious Aging Facilitator.

With my background as a Hospice RN Specialist I believe most people prefer to die at home surrounded by

family members, close friends and caregivers.

I have seen patients at the end of their lives deprived of human touch, isolated in fear, waiting to die,

without an understanding of this sacred transition between life and death.

My mission is to provide the dying the opportunity to embrace a fuller and deeper experience

without the fear of  leaving their loved ones behind or dying alone.

About
1.

Traditionally  the word " Doula " is used to describe a woman who assists before, during, or after childbirth, also one who offers the spouse and family, physical assistance and emotional support.

Sacred Passage Doula expands this concept and includes the end of life as another major rite of passage to be accompanied by those trained in the art and skill of leaving our physical bodies and moving on.
